How many renewed Lexus enform
Lexus had given one year free subscription to their enform service on my 2014, which I had purchased in February last year. It is expiring next week. Lexus wants it renewed of course but it is $260 or so. I used their map finding service once during the entire year so think the subscription is a little too steep, especially since everybody has smart phones these days.
I am thinking of not renewing it. What are other owners doing with their 2013 and 2014 cars?
Also when the six month subscription for the sat radio got close to expiring I threatened to walk away and the sat company gave me six months for $5 per month. I told them frankly that I don't listen to the radio enough to justify the expense. Have you also got good deals from sat radio companies?

If you're referring to Safety Connect and Destination Assist, then no I don't renew it. I considered just doing the Enform Remote and Safety Connect bundle (since they require each other to work) for $220/year. For some reason, my complimentary trial services still work 3 months after the one year mark. So I probably won't since my lease will end in November.
I hate the audio quality of satellite radio, so I never renew after the trial expires.

I think that the service should be free. I did not renew and have no plans to renew. That said, I used it only once during the free period and now use the
"edestination" procedure where I send the destination/address to the car from my phone thru the enform apps and open it when I leave. Free and works perfectly...
Otherwise I just use a Garmin I have with lifetime map updates. The Lexus NAV maps in my car are from 2012...

Thank you!
Yes, I am referring to Safety Connect and Destination Assist. I figure since we all have cell phones one can call 911 in an emergency and Destination Assist is hardly used anyway. Plus we have AAA membership.
I wonder if anybody actually pays for this and what value they see for $220/year.

As for Safety Connect and Destination Assist, I never used them when they were active. It was a no brainer to not renew.

If the package you are referring to is the one that enables us to remotely start the car from anywhere via a smart phone as well as monitoring the status of the car (i.e. windows open or closed, locked or unlocked, etc.) then no, I will not be renewing mine as I never used it.

You may want to see what, if any, discount your auto insurance gives for having the stolen vehicle service, it may help your decision. Although I do not remember how much of a discount it was, my insurer, Auto Owners, did give a discount, same as LoJack.

I know it had to be activated for the remote start to work with the phone app and the key fobob , my question is if I don't renew after 12 months free will the keyfob stop working the remote start
I know the smart phone app would not work then but will they cut of the key remote start too
not nice of Lexus
