Default 2016 Lexus ES350 where is the TPMS reset button

I added air to my tires today and wanted to reset the TPMS, the manual stated that the button to hold for a few seconds is located on the lower Left side of the dash below the fuel door release button area. I searched far and wide and am unable to find any button?

Please let me know if any of you know where this button is or how to reset the system.

All the best.

You are going to have to go to page 438 of your owner's manual for both the location and resetting procedure. It is below and to the left of the steering column and very hard to see. You will have to either really get your head on the floor or use a mirror the first time to locate it. Once you have located the button the procedure is pretty easy to follow.

Enjoy the car.

I know the manual says to reset the TPMS when you adjust the air pressure, but I have found it is not worth the effort. The reset is supposed to tweak the alarm point based on the new tire pressure, but It will still alarm if a tire gets low without doing a reset.

^^ Agree. Never had a need to hit the reset after adding air.

Actually, I recalled seeing that the TPMS warning alerted when the tire pressure dropped 6 psi and I wanted to be alerted sooner than that so whenever I did a reset I first made sure the tires were all overinflated by 3 lbs. which I hoped would mean they would alert when they were only 3 psi low. This was when there was only a warning and not the current 4 tire display but I still continue to set it that way. And you are right, it is not worth the effort to reset if very often.

On my ES, I've tried using the re-set button when the tires have been inflated to various pressures, and I have not seen any effect at all on what doing so has done either to the TPMS readings or alerts.

I agree, too. My understanding has been that doing a re-set can be helpful when you switch out tires or wheels, but I'm not sure that it does much if the same tires and wheels are on the car.

Thanks Dave and all the others who responded to this thread. Dave after being unable to locate my telescopic mirror I used my cell phone to take a short vid under the dash and I was able to locate the reset button, good to know for future reference. After reading through the whole thread I decided not to reset the system I just added 3 psi to the LT side tires to bring them up to the 33 psi spec..

My Honda Accord has a less sophisticated system based on wheel speed sensors instead of a direct monitoring system. It won't tell you which tire is low but seems like it will be a lot cheaper to maintain in the long run. No special valves/sensors to be purchased if you buy a set of winter tires and take off wheels.
