Yeah. There's a whole bunch of plastic grommets that you have to remove.

I'm using these bulbs, they're twice as long as the stock incandescents. They barely fit into the reverse light housing but they put out a crazy amount of light.

I actually got the reverse ones in just now. No screws to remove on the 2016 ES. I removed 2 plastic trunk clips in ea corner. and there it was. pulled it out. installed new ones. 2 clips pushed in..BAM!!! bright reverse now.........Wanna do the puddle lights with a good bulb but not sure which ones. as i dont wanna do it again.. Turn signals as well/ but ive read about ones without resistors and others have the resistors. dont know who has the best one . obviously i like no resistors or built in ones
