Default Homelink & Liftmaster

I am having an issue trying to program my Homelink buttons for use with my Liftmaster Garage Door openers. I have followed the manual to the letter without any luck.

My last 4 cars had Homelink buttons and they all worked fine. My wife just got a new Honda and it took 5 seconds and it was done, Press the learn button on the rear of the opener and press the button in the car, light flashes, press it again and the door closes.

I have tried for the last 4 days to get the ES350 Homelink programmed without any luck.

I even completed erases all my handheld openers and my wife's codes and started all over with the keypad, 3 handheld remotes and her Honda Homelink on both of our doors without any problem.

Any suggestions?

I have a Liftmaster door opener programmed to my Homelink. I don't remember anything unusual with the programming of it. Maybe something for the dealer to look at.

So, in frustration, I started over once again, but this time I went to ww.Homelink.com and followed their instructions, which were different than the Lexus instructions and it worked like a charm.

I just added a new opener/gate to my car. I did exactly like above and it worked for me. What was the difference between the two methods ?

It made reference to pressing the button two more times after the lights change flashing pattern. But I really do not understand why the Lexus was so much harder to program than other Homelink if they are all equal.

Yes, I pressed the learn button on the opener, and pressed my remote button down until I got the flashing led, and then pressed the remote a couple of times more within 30 seconds. It worked as described.

Glad it finally worked for you.

Me too, I was wondering if it was my Liftmaster, but I reprogrammed my wife's car without any problem, but it is working so all is good.
