Well it's now almost a month later on the missing key and NADA. Beginning to think it was a BS story...

I think the OP is a one Johnny pony. Only post, when they need a quick answer, and may not return if they've got their answer.

Looks like the OP had a total of 4 posts on 3 different Lexus forums about 2 different cars. Probably forgot their password and the fob by now

I'm so sorry to be rude regarding not posting an update, and yes..I'm more than just a little techno challenged. The fob I lost 6 months ago was in the driver's seat track, turned toward the consule, and the light was dimmed but the fob worked. It was a miracle, actually. A third party found it and I happily gave her $50 as it was so much less than all the other alternatives. I immediately had new batteries put in both of my key fobs (thanks to this fabulous forum) and thank God for my blessings. If anyone would care to date/marry my soon to be ex that has caused much angst in the last month (25 years) please let me know. Merry Christmas.

By the way, it's so good to know that faith in humanity hasn't been lost in car forums. Especially for women who are suddenly single after 25 years of marriage because their husband has decided to trade them in for a younger model...guess you guys would understand that concept, huh?

Well I can't speak to men as I am one...but glad that you have your keys all taken care of.

Also glad that you returned to finish the tale...hate unfinished stories.

I have a sister-in-law who spent Christmas eve a few years ago in a vacant house with her daughters, so they could visit her father on Christmas eve in a nearby nursing home. They were supposed to drive 250 miles on Christmas day, to visit other relatives for dinner.

The furniture had been removed from the house. It was completely empty except for one chair. Nothing but bare wood floor. Even the kitchen cabinets and drawers were completely empty.

They drove from the nursing home to the house. The next morning, they could not find the keys. They were not in her purse, or in the car. She was sure she had carried the keys inside, because she used the door key to get into the house.

They "searched" that empty house for 10 hours to find those keys. They were in the chair.

To this day, I do not understand how it could take 10 hours to search a bare wood floor, a few empty cabinets, and one chair. If such a search were even slightly organized, it should take no more than a few minutes. But, I guess, some people are not even slightly organized.
