Default Used '13 ES350 VS '15/'16 New Camry XLE V6

Hey All, "new" member here but been reading the forum here for a few years. ('13 RX350 in the family)

Currently in a 2005 Camry XLE V6 with only 65K miles and no issues but looking to upgrade and get something newer. Debating a used '13 ES350 versus a new '15 or '16 Camry XLE V6.

Any one have both or have insight they could share with me? Especially interested in thoughts on the ride difference.

Thanks in advance!

The 2013-current ES is built on the Avalon chassis. The longer wheelbase VS the Camry will result in a smoother ride. I would make sure you get the 17-inch wheels as those with the 18-inch complain about the ride being more harsh. Couple that with Lexus quality and dealer service and the ES would be an excellent upgrade.

I owned a 2012 camry xle v6 and recently switched to the 2013 es350. I was thinking since they were the same engine and with all those stupid people saying the ES was just an upgraded camry I was not expecting a big difference. Well I was pleasantly surprised by the lexus, the ride is very different to the camry . the lexus feels more solid and moves different to the camry the camry is more agile and fast, while the lexus is smooth and feels more powerfull also the interior is much quieter , bigger and feels a little more luxurious.

Just drive both, it's much easier than trying to take subjective information and using it as a basis for buying a car. Just get whichever car you enjoy driving more.

>just an upgraded camry

Used to be the case. But since '13 they have shared the platform with the Avalon. Drive one of those and compare.
