Default Cover on wires going into the hybrid computer

Guys

I have noticed two connectors on the right side of the silver box like thing (which I presume is the hybrid inverter or something like that) in my 2014 300h. These connectors just have a bunch of wires going into them. The connectors look kind of unfinished, as if there should be a cover on top hiding the individual wires. Please have a look at the pictures that I have attached. Sorry the wire part on the right look dark. My phone camera gets overwhelmed by the reflection from the shiny silver box.

My car was a demo with 5,000 miles when I got it, from a dealer who is 150 miles away. So I am kind of suspicious.

I will greatly appreciate it if you can have a look at your 300h's and let me know if the connector to the right of your silver box like thing is similar to that on my car. If it is, great, if not, I will have to get it taken care of. Don't want moisture or dirt to get into the electrical system if a cover is missing.

Thank you.

That silver thing is the box with all the inverters and power electronics. Only the orange high voltage cable is shielded, the other cables are just hooked up into the harness. Totally normal.

My wife has a Prius V, about 2 years old and it has the exact same wiring on it (different engine of course) and I remember wondering about that myself. I recall thinking snow and rain could get in there at times as it's not unusual for snow to blow into an engine compartment when parking overnight in high winds and snow.

2 years later..never a problem, so I guess they know what they are doing.

Thanks! Counting on this ride to be as reliable as a Prius!
