Default weathertech trunck mat worth it?

I mean - I don't want to rubberize the car but is it worth it?

Probably only you can answer that question. Do you need one? If so, it's probably worth it. If you don't really need it, maybe not worth the money.

How often do you carry spillable stuff that can't be easily vacuumed up? It's easy to go overboard buying accessories that serve no real purpose. Have you contributed the maximum to your retirement account for last year and this year?

Do you have dogs? Kids? Go skiing/hiking/biking/skating/hunting/etc. such that you'll toss a bunch of wet, dirty stuff in the back area? I do, so I have one.

My 2003 Acura TL-S had a trunk tray and I "used it" all the time. Nothing ever spilled but I could place things in the trunk without being too gentle. I carried tools here and there and other things like that. Even bags of compost, etc., for my wife. Nice and easy to vacuum up.

This time I just have the carpet mat in my '14 ES trunk. I'm gonna see how long I can be nice to the cargo area. I like the carpet but I did "make use" of the trunk tray.

There was another brand out there, darned if I can recall, other than WeatherTech...but the pictures in WeatherTech look like it'd fit better.

YES.

I had to get the camry hybrid trunk liner from toyota, since weathertech and husky don't make one for the 300h.

of course I like to go to the beach, and carry wet stuff back.. I take it out, hose it off, let it dry and put it back. lasts the lifetime of the car.

if you carry gas, pool bleach, plants, etc. these are great. I've had one in every car for 20 years. would not consider not having one.

YMMV.
