Default 1wk observations...

i took possession exactly one week ago today of an 15' es350 in atomic sillver. her are my thoughts so far:
CONS
6spd auto when cold shifts a little firm, but when warmed up it "smoothes" out nicely.
had a few minor creaks in the dash that have calmed down (very cold lately) -20f one morning. some of the materials are rather disappointing in this model, upper door panels i feel could be softer, center console,eh
no rear comfort controls...
more wind noise than expected, my JGC, hate to say it but was quieter.

PROS
exceptional fit/finish...
compliant ride....
great v6...
nice simple control layout...to me anyway

overall still very satisfied, but in the back of my head i have the "perhaps maybe you should have looked at the avalon after all" scenario going on.

I'm going to guess you don't have dual-paned glass. It makes a huge difference.

Mike, I'm still confused on which ES have dual pane windows, and if on all four windows. Only found in the Ultra Luxury pkg?

Wow, never knew that the ultra Luxury package came with dual pane windows.
Don't even see it on my window sticker listed.

I've seen rear comfort controls on a fully loaded ES with motorized blinds on all rear windows. On mine the rear armrest has a big blank where those controls would go.

NBD, just ask the driver to turn up the heat!

Yeah mine has rear comfort controls - radio controls / seat warmers and they have their own airconditioning zone for the rear seats as well as control for the motorized rear window blind (but still manual pull up ones on side windows) Im not sure about dual pane windows though ?..

The only thing mine doesnt have, that disappoints me is no rain sensing windscreen wipers.. in the manual it says 'as pictured on OS model', but they're definitely not on my model... no auto on the stick for them.

Other thing to remember is that mine is the top of the range model..

we have 2 models of the ES300h and 350 here, the 'Luxury' and the 'Sports Luxury' (which mine is).

I really don't know if it's only included with the UL. I thought they were standard on all at first, but then after reading here, I figured I was wrong. I don't see it listed as standard on the UL, nor as an option. And, it's only the front two.

The car really looks weird with the steering wheel on the wrong side. I wish we had the wood trim on the console, instead of the piano black plastic. Do they offer the panoramic sunroof on the 350 Sports Luxury?

I sat in a stadium in Albury, Australia last April watching an "Aussie Rules" football game. I froze my a$$ off so yeah, heated seats are necessary in Australia.
