Default <Video> Auto Fold/Unfold Side Mirrors

Hi All:

Just wanted to share with you guys with a quick & simple mod I did to my car, to enable it to automatically fold/unfold the powered side mirrors when I lock the car.

To be able to do this, your car must come equipped with powered side mirrors.

This mod is intended for those, whose cars did not come equipped with automatic fold/unfold feature.

Nice option. Wish we had it in the states.

That's great modding, good to know there are bold DIYers among ES owners

I make it a habit to hit the fold button after parking. I didn't know there was an auto fold option. My ES300h is a bit of a bargain basement abomination - I don't have memory seats and my side mirrors don't dip when reversing, even with the mirror adjustment switch set to either side. Can this be retrofitted somehow?

In order to make this modification, one must already have power folding mirrors correct? If no power folding mirrors - no mod... I have power mirrors, but only to change the actual mirror position. To fold the mirrors in I must do it by hand.

Yes, because you're in the US. Unless the 2015 US version has added the feature, it wasn't available on the '13 and '14.

Aha! Well that pretty much takes care of that thought...

Thanks Mike.

Yea, to be able to do this mod, ones car must come with powered side mirrors.

And I'll provide a link soon where I got it. It was from a Chinese site which I asked a friend to help me order it from.

Here's the link from the Chinese website where I purchased the module from.
