ES350 Import to Canada. Need Help!
Hi everyone.
This is my first post and hoping to get some info on how to import my 2008 ES350 from San Diego to Ontario.
I called the ministry of transportation, and was told a few mods may need to be done. But I believe that I already have daytime running lights, engine immobilizer, and a few other requirements.
I'm trying to figure out how much total import costs and fees will be, as well as if the odometer can be switched to metric through some configuration in the display console.
I'm weighing now the costs to import vs selling it and getting something here in Canada. I do live here now, but I'm still a US citizen on a tourist visa. I do plan to go back to the states within a year. Perhaps I can keep the car registered in the US, and not have to go through the whole process of converting to Canadian plates, etc.
But for now, the main thing is to figure out how to do the import and all associated fees.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
