Default Tremble when I press my brakes

Hi,
I am a new 2013 Lexus ES 350 owner. I've notices when I'm driving at 55mph and above that when I press the brake when approaching a stop light or stop sign I can feel a vibrations, the steering wheel doesn't vibrate and the car itself doesn't tremble but I can feel it in my foot. My husband said it could be the ABS. has anyone else had the same experience? maybe it's totally normal.

It sounds like warped rear rotors. If it were the front rotors, you'd feel it in the steering wheel. I doubt its the ABS, otherwise, you'd get a warning light.

Have the dealer look at it. It may be under warranty or they may do a customer accommodation. Good luck.

Had the same issue with an Avalon. The rotors had to be recut (smoothed out) as they had warped unevenly. You feel it shuddering thru your foot.

The rotors may be warped or have uneven deposits from the pads. Either one is cured by machining (1 time) or replacing the rotors. Hopefully its still under warranty.

I have a 2013 ES. I had to have the dealer turn the rotors at 10,000 miles to fix the kind of vibration you mention. Good luck.

Be aware rotors are getting thinner to save on weight. That said, there's a limited times you can true your rotors. One major cause of warped rotors are over tightened or improperly torqued wheel bolts which hopefully shouldn't be from the manufacturer or dealer. Just a thought.
