Your dealer techs probably shouldn't do this for you but mine referred me to the google solution which worked quite well except it only worked for the driver's seat not the passenger seat. That was good enough for me as all I wanted is to silence the chime between the mail box and my house. I do think the both sides can be disabled though with the correct procedure.
On my last two Lexus - 2007 and 2010 it was a setting that the dealers could and did do for me after I referred them to the owner's manual. I have been a seat belt user for about 55 years and don't mind a reminder but the chimes always irritate me. And the reminder light still does work without the chime disabled.
It could be worse - I remember the short-lived starter interlock systems in the 70's. It was also quite easy to just unplug those systems though - not so anymore.

I probably should have continued here about my seat belt chime disable discovery, but I created a new thread, RX 350, third generation. I too like to leave the seat belt off from the mailbox to the house, four houses away. Gotta keep the speed under 10 mph, though.

Well, I just bought a 2017 ES300h and I want to disable the chimes. I don't find anything that works online, and I don't see anything here!
It is an option that the dealer can modify. Unfortunately, it isn't configurable within the menus. There are some members that have purchased the Techstream software so they can make the same changes normally reserved for the dealer, but it would be both simpler and cheaper to just take it to the dealer for this change. Finally a intelligent reply to my question! Since I just bought the car yesterday, I went back to the salesman and he promptly took it to the service department and they used their equipment to disable chime. You can't beat Lexus!
Another way is just get into a moderate accident while unbelted. This quickly changes one's attitude towards disabling the chime and converts it from a mild annoyance to a very convenient feature.

Speak for yourself. You cannot even search this forum for the information that been posted multiple times already. I know at least four ways to disable the warning chime.I just do not want my health and car insurance premiums go up even more because of people willingly violating seat belt law (Wisconsin, right?) so decided not to answer.

I can judge your mental capacity as well if you think I was talking about the chime preventing injuries. Frankly I do not understand while it is so difficult just to develop a habit to buckle up every time one starts a car. After a few months it becomes so automatic and one does not even notice doing it.
