I find that for the first 8 months I had my 300h, I was very fixated on trying to match the EPA estimates for MPG. Sometimes I did, but not always. Ever since then, I haven't regularly set the fuel consumption gauge and I don't even check my MPG after refuelling very often, as I know the car gets very good mileage for a sedan its size. I'm just enjoying all the great features of the car and the beautiful ride, and I find driving the car that way much more pleasurable. Just curious, are others following the same trend?

I have had my 2013 ES300h for 10 months, 7,000 miles, and still monitor it, I just drive it normally and I record my mileage on fuelly.com. I average 37 MPG which I feel is fantastic for a car this size and the driving conditions in my area.

I have 11400 miles on my car and I am still obsessed with my MPG after refueling. When I am not in a hurry I am always interested to see when the engine turns on or off. I am always watching the flow of energy monitor, and the trip graph, and how full the hybrid battery is. I try to keep my average MPG around 40 or better if possible.To me it is an addiction. It is like playing a game.

I'm coming up to 1 year, and over 9K on mileage. Trying to get the max mpg isn't a priority anymore since I know I've been getting around 37-38 mpg. I've only gotten above 40 mpg once, and that's when I was really really trying. Now, I just go with the flow of traffic.

I watch it but am finding the lower end of the range is 34mpg and my high is 38.

I have my dash display set to mpg after refueling, watch the trip mpg display. and drive in sport mode

I bought my 300h in August 2012 (my 8th Lexus). As of October 7 2013, odometer shows 7500 miles, mostly stop-n-go driving in town.

Car has been set to "Economy" since purchase. Average MPG display shows 41.4 mpg.

I am a very happy camper, especially since this is my first Lexus that doesn't require premium fuel.

I'm delighted with our ES300h! We keep it in ECO mode and it's got enough pick up for me. Around town we see 37. A couple long trips, we've gotten 41. We're at 4K mis. now.

Yes, I've pretty much realized end-state MPG depending on type of driving each day. I no longer reset the daily mileage into the archive but leave the vehicle in ECO almost continuously.

It's my second hybrid, so it is what it is!

HAHAHA! I'm pretty happy with my MPG considering..... I mean, if you're in the far left lane you should be passing everyone!


I got a ES350 loaner last week. other than smoother and quieter, it felt like about the same power.... until you got into the higher rpms.
