I appreciate the advice

Seriously, it's just an annoyance (having never had to wait with any previous car I owned) that's all and I merely wanted to know if there was an alternative.

I always check if the doors are locked by holding the handle around the top and bottom portion around the metal (not the sensor side of the handle on the inner side) and pulling on it. It'll allow me to pull on it without opening or triggering the unlock function even if I have the keyfob in my pocket. Adds some peace of mind leaving my car in a sidewalk parking in the city.
