I recently got lexus with lexus financing. I noticed that Lexus pulled equifax, experian, and transuinion and toyota financial pulled experian. Is that common? 4 credit pulls bites.

Lexus Financial Services is a trade name for Toyota Motor Credit.

So I guess it's kosher.

But weird thing is that Lexus pulled once on Experian and Toyota pulled a second time on experian on same day. Lexus also pulled Equifax and Transunion.

I know they'll pull one even if your pay cash, or get your own financing. They've done that to me both times before, but only one report. I think that Lexus and Toyota pulled the same report on the same day was a matter of the second finance person being lazy. Now why more than one report pulled by Lexus- maybe your score was borderline to get the lowest lease?

I don't know if it is routine to pull from multiple credit services, but in our case there was an error on the credit report that was pulled on my wife's credit and the rate was way high and I passed on financing. The finance manager subsequently called me back and said they had another report with higher credit score and rate was nearly 2 points lower so we went with it..

Could also be that the dealer pulled one before he sent anything in, and he may be linked through a Toyota portal.
