repairing minor scratches
Just thought I would post my experience trying to repair some minor scratches on my es300h in case anyone else is thinking of doing this kind of repair on their own.
After 5 months of driving (mostly winter) and the good weather arriving, I was now able to notice that I had developed a number of minor scratches on different parts of the vehicle. None of them seemed to go beyond the clear coat as the colour was the same beneath the scratch and you couldn't feel them with your fingernail, but they were definitely visible and irritating, given the young age of the car.
I used Quixx scratch repair kit and found that it worked very well on these types of scratches on all areas of the car except on the bumper assembly which is not painted metal. There it just doesn't seem to work at all, but admittedly, the instructions warned that would be the case if the bumper component wasn't spray painted as the rest of the vehicle.
In any event, if you have minor scratches on any of the metal surfaces, I would recommend using Quixx. It costs about $20 and is very fast and easy to use.

repairing scratches
I also have numerous small scratches on car, bought in Nov; I am going to try a good wax job first and see what happens(see prev post concerning waxs) What colour is yours? Mine is Star light black Mica, also a Can car, Is this scratch remover available at Can Tire? Don't recall seeing it; also a buddy of mine tells me 3M also makes a good scratch remover, apparently a lot of body shops use this product as well;
