The GPS is my biggest hangup on the current Lexus although I'd certainly like some of the other features I've put in the survey. It is also hard to get much information on a new GPS system. You'll probably find an extremely detailed review if they change the tail light on a car between years but about all you'll find about a new GPS is that it is "updated" which for all you know means they've added new streets to the index. I probably wouldn't even care about getting a new car if the GPS on my car could be replaced but it can't so I'm looking for a new car.

I would like to see the flaxen leather (medium brown) from the GS available in the ES. The current parchment is too light. Some wood trim around the shift console would also be nice. Too plasticy for a lux car, especially noticeable in the parchment interior (not as much so with black).

or better yet, power height as well. i notice a lot if newer cars have pretty intrusive headrests.

Tilt your seat back a little. Makes a big difference with the head rest.

I actually adjusted mine as far forward as it would go. My head still doesn't touch it, unless I tilt my head way back. You know it can be adjusted forward and back, right?

up and down yes,

forward and back (tilt) - How do I change that? I've tried but not having luck.

I just pulled on it and it slid towards me. You may just want to try and push it towards the back.

Actually, the headrest has 4 front to back positions it can be locked into. All are achieved by pulling on it towards the front of the car. You'll know what I mean once you try it.

Default This is what i want in the new es350

The only thing the Lexus ES350 is missing is the interior of the 2007-2012 model....................I cant believe they went 2 steps back..................plastic leather on a luxury vehicle? less wood? a lousy computer mouse, less quite .... one word to describe it..........SHAMEFUL

it is a shame that out of 17 luxury vehicle the ES350 is number 13................................check Consumer reports rating for anyone in doubt.

Yes, the new ES has taken its lumps in a number of reviews etc., but it's not THAT bad. Still a fine car IMO. Look for any shortcomings to be addressed in upcoming model years. The new gen is still selling very well.

I actually have no issues with the interior. I like it much better than the 2011 that's in my family. Also, I do not have plastic seats, they're 100% semi-aniline leather. Well, not 100%, but that's normal. The base model's "pleather", I heard, is actually quite nice. It's just not for me. That's why we have options. I actually prefer using the mouse, now that I'm used to it, vs. a touch screen. It's way less distracting to use. Sounds like you should have gotten the Avalon instead.

Thumbs down Bring back the 2007_2012 Interior

So many to mention that the heading says it all.

Bring back the 2007_2012 interior and perhaps regain the 12 point lost in the Consumer Reports Magazine Review.

Actually,, I have the 2010 Ultra_Lux package and will never give up the extra refinements found in the the 2010 version. quietness, excellent control, very plush look and feel. Beside, the Avalon 2013 is now rated much higher than the ES350 and I mean much higher. Have you notice that the door controls on the 2013 Lexus is exactly the one they have on the Toyota Corolla?

Every car critics agree that Lexus have taken 1 or 2 step back with the new version. In fact Lexus have received so many complaints regarding the interior and control that the 2014 version has been updated. Wait and see the pictures coming out in October.
