Clarification: Yes you are correct, you can tune in to the radio's via FM or AM not actual radio stations. You can tune-in to Sat radio stations though.

Really? My 2005 Acura can voice tune! I don't use it much, so don't see it being a issue.

Again, just for clarification: are you saying that in Sirius XM that you can use voice control to tune to a particular station - for the ES? Because if you can I would love for you to explain in detail how to do it?

Sorry guess I'm wrong, on the 3GS you could do this guess they discontinued it, from reading the manual which I should have looked at more closely, the only command you can use to find exact is artist name or playlist off your iPod or connected audio device. Sorry bout that. So you can say sat or FM or AM.

Yep, and that is why I started this thread: if Ford can do it then surely Lexus should be able to do it as well!

I don't think you can tune on or off the AC with VC. You can set the temp warmer/hotter or cooler/colder, but you need to use either the Auto AC button or by mouse. Well, at least it'll know if I want AM, FM or SAT.

I believe you can. That was one of the items that they demo'ed at the dealership, but first you need to enable the Expanded voice commands. Then the command is Automatic Climate Control to turn on the AC / Heat. To adjust the temp, then you can use the Warmer and Cooler voice commands.

Give it a try.

Will do, I'm going to give it a try on the drive home. I did have the expanded VC on, but must have not used the correct command. Can you also turn off the AC via VC?

Don't know for sure as the commands above are the only ones listed for climate control. Need to play around on the way back from the detailers today.

This is similar to the station issue. On my MDX I can say the temperature I want, but on the ES you can only say warmer or colder which changes the temperature by 4 degrees; so it is much easier just to push the button to change the temp.

Yep, you are correct. Easier to just adjust the temp with the button. BTW, I can turn on the Climate Control and AC with VC, but can't turn it off; must use the mouse in the Climate Control display. Again, easier to turn it on with the press of a button.

If you can make the japanese to pronounce the english language alot clearer, then they would make it. Until then we have to stick to what they sell.

The question is, why can't Microsoft offer or sell their voice command systems to Lexus?

How about using Siri from Apple? It seems more capable than Lexus's VC.
