I have been using a free iPhone app called Mileage Keeper. It is simple to use and gives detailed data, and may be used with several vehicles.
For the past eight months, my total travel distance has been 14,370 miles at an overall average 29.7 mpg. The highest mpg was 37.2 during 405 miles on the interstate last month at a steady 70 mph.
Another iPhone app to consider is GasBuddy. This will provide fuel prices in your area that are remarkably current.

I like the mpg results most of you guys are getting. I finally got my local dealership to match the price quotes I had gotten from down south yesterday. Started financing paperwork on my wife's car last night, and will go down later today and finish everything up. Had a guy call me about my wife's 2012 chevy equinox I have for sale and he wants to look at it in a couple of hours. We were literally on our way to Lexus to go ahead and trade it in. I had Lexus wait to finish up paperwork until today to see if he buys her equinox, which will hopefully give us about $1500 more than Lexus had offered us a few weeks ago. She was only getting 18.2 mpg average and will be more than happy with the 24-25 average mpg on the es350. First luxury car any of us have ever owned, and even I fell in love with it (I'm more of a muscle car guy).

I have about 4000 on the clock & tried different brands of gas. Quick Trip resulted in the worst @ 25.5 ..... CostCo @ 26.0 ..... BP @ 26.6 all for 50/50 town/HWY. Road trip Atlanta to Greenville SC was about 34.0 using CostCo. South Carolina may differ in what it gets in ethanol content. We are paying less than surrounding states. I paid $2.92/gal last week at CostCo, and I can't find a Chevron station in a 50 miles from where I live. So milage may better be determined by grade

You guys are getting great numbers, that or you drive like the elderly...
I'm averaging about 23-24mpg overall. About 50/50 city-highway. I do drive a little bit more aggressive, but not overly so. Anything is better than the 14mpg average I got with my last sedan.

Given the average age of new ES buyers you might be correct. Although sites like CL attract a generally younger crowd.
