Thank you. After I posted that I did not know how to obtain the release date and number - I did eventually find it and I have the same info that you posted.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you check on your car the nav version. I bought the car the early part of February, but the car was delivered at the dealership last month.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Ok, I am confused on this map version
Went to Lexus of Naperville in Illinois to update my maps. Lexus of Naperville in Illinois, tells me that I have the updated 12.1 version of the maps already installed in my ES300h.
If it came out in January and I have a build date of October how can this be? When I tell them that it was just released in January of 2013, they swear that they had the 12.1 version since November of 2012…..
They tell me that the part number listed on Lexus.com for version 12.1 - "Which Map to order"….
part number PT219-HDD07-00 is a code for the next release in October 2013.
Below are screen shots of the Map info. Any help would be beneficial as to which version I have.

Before I traded my car in mid-November I checked with the two Lexus dealers that I did business with, and they both had the thumb drive and software for version 12.1 in stock and available for installation.

For a GEN7 system? why would lexus say GEN7 wasn't ready on their website till Jan?

Unless I don't understand what you said, the issue isn't the availability of the Gen 7 installed system, but that the latest map update was available for previous nav generations but availability was delayed for the Gen 7 equipment until January, '13. Hence, until the January '13 availability, the previously delivered Gen 7 vehicles will be provided with the earlier (obsolete) update version.

As I previously stated, I checked the Enform web site and it said that the map update was delayed until January 2013. Whereas normally map updates are completed in October of each year for the next year's new model car. Therefore, 2013 vehicles built between October and January DID NOT receive the new map update. They have maps that came out in October of 2011. So by the time of the next map update in October of 2013, your maps will be 2 years old. I've already checked with the SM of my dealer and he agreed to provide me with a FREE map update when I come in for service.

Just went to service and they confirmed with parts that mine is the version with 12.1. Map Version should be "[2012-06-1]" date. Map Update ID is unique to car (copied screen shot from someone else).
