Default HTC Android Messages with Bluetooth on ES300h

Has anyone gotten any HTC phone (X, X+) to work with SMS messages on the ES300h. I am using HTC-Inspire and successfully paired it with ES (NAV). Have phone, music, contacts all working great, EXCEPT for messages.

And Yes I have checked Lexus Mobile Compatibility site to see what phones are supported. The reason I am posting this question is I am a big fan of HTC Android phones and use it for both work and personal use.

I am out of contract (on the phone) and am looking forward to upgrading to the M7 when it comes out. However if this does not work I may look at other options.

Another question is has anyone gotten their phone to work with ALL features on the ES300h. What I mean by ALL is phone/contacts/music/streaming/messages/Replies to messages etc. If yes, I would like to know what make/model.

The only constraint I have is I am on the AT&T network (and have to stay) here in N-CAL.

I have a Galaxy S3 running Jellybean and everything works fine except the ES doesn't mark my texts as read on my phone, but it still reads them out loud. But I don't use the stock messaging app so maybe that could be the problem with mine.

My Galaxy S3 did almost everything as well. I now have a Nexus 4 and messaging doesn't work, nor does it allow me to control bluetooth audio from the display. Very bummed - because I like the Nexus 4 much more than my Galaxy S3.

Can you confirm if the S3 supports apt-x codec and you are able to stream cd quality audio via bluetooth to the 2013 ES

It does support APT-B but I've never streamed BT audio to the car since I have an iPod.

Hi LexRuger

Your phone does support apt-x (http://www.csr.com/blog/2012/08/aptx-revolution/). Its supposed to stream CD quality music via Bluetooth. You just have to play some audio from your phone thats on a higher bit rate. If you can test, I sure would appreciate it.

I have a Galaxy S-III running 4.1.2 Jellybean and all the contacts WILL NOT pair to the car. It randomly omits many. Car will accept 1000. Phone has 435. Car pairs only 314. Bummed. For 50K the electronics SHOULD WORK!

Mine all downloaded but I learned on prior cars that, if you are using Google Contacts in your Android, they need to be consistently formatted (Area code, name protocols, etc.) It takes some time looking at them on the desktop, but you may find that the missing ones don't have all the data in the "right" places. Compare to one that downloads.

I have an HTC Evo 4G, and the bluetooth keeps unpairing from my 300h. Have to re-pair the phone almost every time I get in the car. Very frustrating. I have given up, essentially my phone is unusable while driving. Any suggestions?

Have you tried deleting the car out of the phone and re-connecting it? Do you have more than one device with bluetooth on?

Yes, I have done that several times. Problem persists.
