It depends on what success is to you.
In my '12,I replaced the stock bulbs with 5K 28 LEDs from VLEDS for a nice match to the HIDs.
They don't have much light output.A bit less the stock bulbs which don't do much either.
If your goal is much more light output, you have to go HID kit fogs.

Not great pics but you get the idea.

On a '10 RX I owned.

Default Fog Lights

The 2013 fogs are listed as H16's .Supposedly V-LEDS has a new LED that will work! I am waiting for more info from them now. My car has the HID headlights and it makes the fogs look really inferior!

I have 9006's with no plastic box/relay part.
Go 5K as 6K will be too blue and may not match the HIDs.
My VLEDs 9006 5K are a bit whiter than the 4300K HIDs but a good match.Much better than the yellow stock bulbs.

You looking at these?
They have almost twice the lumens.
These newer LEDS weren't available when I bought my set.

I used these in my Ct200h and will be receiving them for my Es300h

I understand it's not as simple as just changing out the bulb but it sure makes a difference compared to the stock bulb or any LED bulbs one purchases...

i would also like to change the fog lights to LEDs, i saw an IS the other day with LED fog lights and they complimented the DRL very nicely. Any updates on which one to get ? 9006 5K is the way to go ? I want a white beam not a blue one.

There's another thread on led fogs. I believe 2014+, Lexus uses LEDs. You can buy the LED assembly (4 screws) to replace the halogens and its plug and play. At Seawells, they were going for about 190 each. In addition, one of the vendors here is selling a plug and play led bulb for a little less than the price of one from the dealer. I think you can also pick the temp (color) of the led too.

so you suggest changing the whole housing instead of just the bulb with a tiny ballast ?

Getting the entire led assembly from the dealer will be an exact match and just like oem. Getting the led from the outside vender, from my understanding, is like replacing the bulb - no ballast unless its in the light assembly.

Yes,no ballast.
Simple filament bulb to LED change.
Much easier to install than the OEM assemblies and much cheaper.
I also like the the full round lense is white light vs the rectangular look in the round of the OEM fogs.
Also like the VLEDS 5K LEDs which are a bright white with no hint of blue.

The newer oem fogs are rectangular? Or are they squared off?

A round lense but the LED reflector set up is rectangular.

Got it. From what I remember, the oem are also adjustable too. They could be aimed a little bit up or down.
