2013 Lexus ES 350 in comparison to 2013 Infiniti G37S
Anyone test drive both to compare? your thoughts? which one do you think is better in every way from interior to exterior? etc. Please share your thoughts, i am in between the two. I saw an ES350 yesterday parked and loved the interior BUT the exterior, the back reminded me of the Hyundai Sonata and or the new Accord, the rims also reminded me of the Sonata. They did a better job with the rims not he 2010-2012 ES's. Thoughts?

When we bought our 2010 ES350 (haven't looked closely at the new gen ES yet) we took a long look at the G37. Around here they all come in AWD.
Pros for us: Steering, handling, ride and performance were very good. Much more of a drivers car than the ES. The interior is well put together and comfortable with a lot of features. Both of the dealers that we visited were offering deep discounts on the car.
Cons for us: Tight cabin and engine noise.
In the end we decided we wanted a comfortable highway cruiser since we use this car primarily for vacations and longer trips.

I've owned both and as noted above they are different animals. The Lexus is smooth, quiet, and roomy but not much fun to drive. The Infiniti is really fast and fun to drive, but a little cramped in the rear seat and trunk. My personal experience is that both are well made and very reliable.
If you choose the Infiniti do not select the "S" version! The ride gets very stiff and noisy and the handling only improves a little. The standare 17" wheels and 55 series tires are more than adequate for driving on the street.
The ES350 is brand new this year and the G37 is due for replacement soon, so I would expect much larger discounts on the Infiniti. It should be possible to get a similarly equipped G37 for a couple thousand $ less than an ES350.
