What is your MPG now with your ES350 ?...That's the big question.
What % of ALL your driving is @ 75 to 80 mpg ?
Even if you drive the same as you do now you will save a lot in gas @ 4,000 mis p/mo.even with half of the 50% I gained.

The 2013 ES350 gets combined... 24mpg the Es300h gets 40mpg, that's a 66% difference.
The 2013 ES350 gets highway......31mpg the ES300h gets 39mpg that's a 26% difference.
The 2013ES350 gets city..............21mpg the ES300h gets 40mpg that's a 90% difference.
I had a 2007 ES350 From day 1 till I sold it @ 35,000mis. I avg'd. 26.4MPG ( mostly highway )
I generally drive 65 to 73 mph.
As of today I have 350 miles on my 2013 ES300h and I avg'd. 39.6 MPG..(mostly highway) ...
That's a gain of 50 % over my ES350.

I have a 2010 ES350. We just returned from a 2,800 mile driving vacation. The overall mileage for the trip was 30.0 mpg and the last tank was 33.1. The last day on the road we were aided by a stiff tail wind all day which helped raise the overall mileage from 29.5. This is about the same/slightly better than on our 2007 ES350.
On the highway I generally go 5-10 over the posted speed limit.

I think you will be pleased with your 300h's mpg.
With your 4K miles p/mo. it will not take long to make up that $2,750. extra that you paid for your 300h over the 350.
Different overall diameter of the tire & or different tread width (more drag if it's wider) can make a very small diff. in mpg. A diff. overall dia.of the tire can make your speedometer/odometer incorrect.

Kenny, I also have an '11 ES350 and am very pleased with the fuel economy on the highway. Don't expect fuel economy at true highway speeds (65mph to 75mph) to be all that different from a 6 cylinder ES. The 2012 Camry hybrid which shares the same engine/drive train delivers about 38mpg @ 65, 36mpg @ 70 and 33 to 34 mpg @ 75, which is actually about the same as my ES350 (within 1-2 mpg). (You can expect just a little bit less from the 300h at similar speeds over the Camry hybrid as the car is a bit larger and heavier. Like just about all hybrids, the ES300h excels in fuel efficiency is in city driving and of course does very well on the highway.
"The ES 300h model essentially drops in the Camry Hybrid drivetrain and battery pack with only minor tuning tweaks, but lower aerodynamic drag nudges the Lexus' EPA city/highway figures up from Camry's 40/38 to 40/39 mpg"

As of today I have 409 miles on my 300h and have avg'd. 40.5mpg. ( appox. 80% highway )
My highway speeds are not always 70mph, usually 5 to 10mph over speed limit max.
I don't drive with a heavy foot, so I usually get a little better than the window sticker shows.
With my 2012 RX350 I avg'd. 21.5mpg from day 1 till trade in @ 6,607miles.(sticker said 20mpg combined )
With my 2007 ES350 I avg'd. 26.4mpg from day 1 till trade in @ 35,000mis.( sticker was 21/30mpg )
Yes this is my 100th.car, but only my 3rd. Lexus.
I started a written list of my cars around 1965.

Just put my deposit down today on an ES300h - impossible to find (or so they say) the combo I wanted in SoCal - or anywhere in the US for that matter. Nebula Grey w/ Parchment Leather and the goodies that come with it. Wouldn't budge on the price whatsoever. They are probably using any dollars I would have been saved for the transportation cost of shipping/trading units. I'm not trading in anything - our trusted loyal 2004 GX470 will be on the sideline.
I had an '06 Jetta TDi that averaged about 42 mpg - and man do I miss that MPG. Then again, it is a Jetta and I probably ate the gas savings with maintenance. Sold it at 100k miles for top dollar.
Looking forward to picking up the ES300h in about 10 days or so as it is coming in from out of state.
