The actual text wasn't necessary but thank you for the details. It doesn't show the timeframe but it does reference Golden Opportunity Sales Event which ended Sept 2nd so it looks like it was sometime in the summer. This will help in my case. I will keep you all informed if I am able to replicate something similar

I just bought the car this past Saturday, Sept 20. There was no Sales event on there website when I looked last week. I suggest you mail the internet manager of dealers around you, if you are willing to go alittle farther you might get a better deal. In my email I told them I was willing to travel to get the car if they gave me a great deal. Good luck!!!

I will be closing on a deal tonight at 6PM in Houston, TX on ES350 Premuim Package.

MSRP: $41,392
Sell Price: $35,700
Saving: $5,692
Discount %: 13%

I still have another dealer who said he will get back to me. What do you think of the deal?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I am getting locally 43500 out of the door ( 42300+TTL) for a car with MSRP of 47000 he is throwing in tinting and body side modling as extra so it is similar to 41780 deal. I just had to wait patiently to get the deal but am limited to colors in stock.

Any thoughts on black and black for ES300h. I thought black and grey interior might have provided some contrast inside but not avaialble nearby.

Default Lexus ES300h OTD price (September 30, 2014)

Here is what I get.

2014 White Color (Interior: Beige, I think) ES300h. 22 miles on the Car.
MSRP 46,928 (With Nagivation, Leather Seat, Heated Seat, Back up Camera, Rear Window Shade and get dealer to throw in Tinted Windows)

I trade in an old car which is appraised at $1,500.

My OTD price is: $42,500. (September 30th, 2014)

It has the 1.9% for 60 months financing. So I just take that. Unfortunately, that dealership does not allow any credit card payment so that I do not earn any additional miles.

In addition, I am at DFW (TX) area. Our tax rate for auto is: 6.25%.

I hope it can give other people some help.

In addition, I initially try to get an BMW 328i (With Navigation, Leather Seat, Heated Seat, Backup Camera) with MSRP 45,500, Color: Mojave Metallic.

However, with my trade-in, I want to 41,500 OTD but the dealer wants 41,900 OTD, the difference is being my trade-in was substantially suppressed in appraisal there.

The Sales Rep will not budge for a little bit, even though the discount is OK but at other areas people do get much better discount. The sales rep said that it is the market (Well, he said Texas has a hot market so that they do not have to discount more to sell BMWs).

So I just went across the street and bought the ES300h instead, even though the sales later called that he cound drop to 41,700 if I give him 10s in later survey.

I am just not happy with his attitude. I would have hesitated even he dropped to 41,500 later. I hope it can help people on both. Thanks.

Congrats on your car!! The $42500 OTD price includes tax and tags? BTW I got .9% financing but it doesn't matter as long as you are happy with your car.

Your post is a bit confusing. You stated that you could have bought the BMW for LESS $41,700 vs. the $42,500 that you paid for the Lexus yet most of your post looks like price was a blocking factor. if the BMW was actually cheaper, why didn't you buy it?

You stated that your OTD price was $42,500 which would indicate that your $1,500 trade was included in that reduction so that means that the price you paid was $44K. Tax levels matter as those are also compenents of an OTD figure. That is one of the reasons that formu members typically ask for your ACTUAL details on the NEW CAR itself rather than factoring in trades, taxes, and giving some yo-yo a 10 on a 10-point scale.

All included.

To be clear, this $42,500 all included OTD price indeed factor in the $1500 trade-in value.

Without it, it would have been $44093.75 all included OTD price at the tax rate 6.25%.

Well, I did my post with the details of my transaction. I did a trade-in and that will be misleading if I told you my OTD price $42,500 (All included) without telling you about the trade-in. If you really want to know the true OTD price without the trade-in, just calculate:
42500 + 1500 * 1.0625 = 44093.75

As for BMW 328i, it is not hybrid, while the ES300h is a hybrid. Lexus vs BMW is really not that big distance. You are expected to pay more for the hybrid.

For the interior, the Lexus ES300h is also better than the 328i. Initially, I am really OK with both cars. However, the BMW sales is quite arrogant and the only compromise I asked him is to reduce it for $400. I told him if he can do that, I can sign the paperwork right away. In addition, we only talked with each other for at most 15 minutes by then, not a lengthy negotiation at all.

If he could appraise my car at the value I get from Lexus, I could get more than the $400 I asked for already. I would have bought it already.

It is not about the money in the end, just about how I feel I was treated.

Just to clarify - the actual selling price was around $44k and then you got a trade in allowance of 1500. Most of the folks on this forum focus on the actual selling price because that's probably the most important part of the transaction to them.

Edit: you know, just read your post again - the way you stated it, I still can't tell what your actual selling price was. What did you pay for the car BEFORE TTL and trade in credit? That's what helps people when they are tying to shop for price.

Default 2015 pricing?

Has anyone here gotten a price quote on the 2015 ES 300h? I know some are on the floor now. I'm wondering if the 2014s will go down even more in a couple of weeks when there are 2015s available.

We got our 2014 ES 300h last Saturday. It seemed that they were flying of the dealer lots. We got the luxury package and other options for a little less than 40000 + Tax&License. I am located in CA. We also got 0.9% APR financing as there was no corresponding cashback incentive.

One dealer provided a quote for a 2015 model. It was 42600 + Tax&License for a similar equipments.

I use Vicent05's information as my base:
In his case: MSRP 47188 -> 41779 before TTL

In my case, MSRP 46928, so I ask in email for 41500 before TTL, it is OK'ed.

My Trade-in is valued at $1500

After factoring the trade-in, TTL (6.25% tax rate) and $395 tinting windows cost, it is about $43300 (I do not remember the exact number)

So I ask for $42500 OTD. We reach the deal in half an hour.

Does it help now? I really appreciate Vincent05's information.
