Pricing Thread - Deals you are getting?
#166
fwiw, I broke my own rule and rushed into this...
rereading this entire thread, I'd have gone to costco, and ordered a car, and waited 4 months, to save another 1k or so.... and have gotten exactly what I wanted... since I tend to keep my cars.
my last cars in order...
expedition 10 yrs, explorer 9 yrs, and used jimmy 5 years. (was 4 yrs old when purchased). before that and a ex company buick land yacht. 5 or 6 yrs.
-YMMV

That seems like a great price! I will be purchasing within the next month or so and I plan on using your deal as my starting point! Do you think you could have done better? Which dealer?

my deal was pretty straight forward. told them I was looking at camry hybrid, and es300h. depending on where the numbers landed would make my decision. only $6600 more for the ES, and its a year model newer.
seemed like easy decision... hope I was right LOL.
(trying to pump up my post count a bit for better access? guess that's necessary here? in the TOS..)

(Salesman is offering a 6% discount off MSRP and apparently won't go any higher. I was hoping the dealer wanted to move a lot of cars before the end of the year. If I could get a great deal, my wife would be getting a new car this year.)

Looks like you got a great deal. Can I ask what dealer you bought from? Thanks.
(I bought an RX 350 F Sport in September for myself and called my salesman at JM Lexus and was told that he is now in the preowned sales department. His replacement offered my a 6% discount off MSRP and wouldn't go any higher. I was hoping the dealer wanted to move a lot of cars before the end of the year. Thanks JerryKK. We are in no rush to get a new ES 300h. We would move on getting one if we could get a similar deal as Mrbill got. It looks like we will wait awhile until inventory gets better and prices get lower. I am still curious were Mrbill got a 9.9% discount. Seems likely that he bought his car in South Florida, which is where I am located.

Costco's pricing on the ES300h is now only $200 over dealer invoice. And you don't have to buy the add-ons many dealers seem to attached to their vehicles. Such a deal!!!

Hi. My first post here and my first Lexus!
Just signed papers today on a 300h. Deep Sea Mica with Parchment leather. Nav, blind spot, parking, heated steering wheel, HID, heated/vented seats and the accessory package of trunk mat, cargo net and wheel locks.
MSRP was $46,312, paid $43,142.
I felt ok with that plus I got a lot more for my trade than I was expecting - 2001 BMW 325XIT with 238k miles on it.
I hope that seems like a good deal!? Went through AAA and also BJ's.
Only problem I had was that on Monday it was in stock, they sold it yesterday but it's in port in NY and I should have it next week.
I also got an extended warranty - 7/125k.
They tried to talk me into the simonize and wheel warranty.

"What's a reliable source for looking up dealer invoice?"
The dealer! (Costco dealers are required to show you the factory invoice).
If you are not a Costco member, Trucar.com would be a good source. Their site shows retail and dealer invoice for the vehicle and individual options.
