I used an online pricing tool for my recent purchase (2013 CPO, 23k miles, nebula/black w luxury, nav, BSM,xenons, backup camera, moldings). I don't remember the site I used, but it showed the dealer pricing for my specific car(I think it used the VIN) and it was originally priced at 31,999, then it sat for a few weeks so they dropped it a couple thousand and I got it for a little less than that. Pricing will depend on the geographic area I believe. Good luck! I've already taken mine on 3 long (200+Mile) road trips since I bought in late May and I love it.
Thanks, I'm in the Minneapolis area, and I believe the demand here is higher than average. I did a search on KBB, and included my zip code, and it came back with an estimate of $32,200 for the car (CPO) with a non-CPO rate $2000 less than that. I have noticed the dealer drops the prices of similar vehicles by about $1000 every 2 weeks and this one is new to their inventory. Would I be embarrassing myself to offer 7-8% lower than the $32,900 asking price? Thanks!

Default Buying 2013 ES350

I would suggest you always negotiate. I bought my 2013 ES350 last year for about $32K and it had 27K miles on it, so you are in the ballpark.

How long has it been on the market? From what I could tell Lexus CPO's have a relatively short shelf-life/lot life. They seem to not tolerate them sitting for longer than 6-8 weeks, so they'll lower the price after the first few weeks (4?) then, at 6 and then again at 8. This is all speculation on my part though. It was odd though, for my car, the salesperson didn't even realize the price had been lowered (for the 3rd time) until I told him that morning. I had been in contact with him for about a week and a half and we went back and forth a couple of times until they lowered the price again and I was hooked. Also, KBB tends to be a bit high in my experience. Try the Edmunds pricing tool, and look at the "retail" number.

I think your best bet, negotiation-wise, is to give them an "out the door" price (price+registration+sales tax), because boy they really don't budge at all unless there's a deal in sight. Once I was about to sign they were willing to do some minor discounting to get it done.

Thanks for the advice. It's brand new on the lot. The salesman told me about it when it first came in, and it took a few days to get it detailed and through the CPO inspection. I've been picky about my color choices, and want one that's NOT white, grey or black or brown, so those seem to be in shorter supply, which may limit my negotiating ability at some point. I've been comparing to similar cars with similar miles advertised elsewhere, and the key seems to be figuring out how much the CPO is really worth. At $1700-$2000, it feels like I'm basically paying for the few repairs that may arise, up front, and not really "saving" anything, given the reliability and reputation of the car.

Very pretty. That Silver doesn't usually catch my eye.

I just purchased a 2016 ES350 with a sticker of $42,429. Was able to get the $3,500 rebate and an additional $3,750 off of the car. Was able to get a local bank rate of 1.9% for 60 months (Could do 1.49% for 36 months but might be stretching me more than I would want). Don't really think much of the special 0.9% rate if you have decent credit.

Took nearly 7 hours and were many dis-honest statements made by the staff during the process, including adding $2,250 to the final paperwork vs the negotiated price. Finance guy rolled his eyes and started whistling after we told him the price on the contract was wrong (what an *** - should have walked).

Only photo that I have right now (from the dealership)....
