Maybe someone will come out with a 2007-12 conversion front clip then we can have the best of both. I agree the interior looks like a stripped out sports car and not a high end luxury car.

The front clip of my car needs repainting anyway from the soft paint and bugs so a new clip would work out

I'm really not in favor of the ES getting any bigger. It's perfect the size it is now.
Nope, the Avalon has it's own chassis.. so the 2013 ES will not have a Camry Chassis.
It will have more room in the back seat however. The Folks who have seen it are all very excited, so I guess the rest of us will have to wait for the NY autoshow next month.

I saw this picture of the 2013 ES over on the Car Chat forum. IMO it shows the car better than the pictures from China that were going around. It looks better too. Look at post #453.

I'm not a fan of the front design and spindle grill,Looks too sporty for an ES but it may grow on me in time.
I'm hope the interior isn't that of the earlier pics.

You can only see about 10% of the taillights from a side, oblique angle. Wait until you can see the vehicle in person. Hideous?

The rear design isn't great but not bad.

With the release of the 2013 Avalon, it's pretty clear to me that the 2013 ES is riding on the same chassis. Wheelbases are the same @ 111.0" the ES is a trifle shorter, a bit narrower, but also a bit heavier.

The 2013 Avalon and 2013 ES very similar, What do you think about the 2013 Camry? Same platform, chassis? Didn't look at the specs. to compare.

The new ES is now built on the Avalon platform and not the Camry anymore.

IMO,the '13 Camry is an awful design.
The SE is a bit less ugly.

I haven't spent much time with the new Camry but it seems to get good reviews. Is it the design of the car you do not like, or the looks?

Mainly he looks.
Having had a Camry hybrid, the new Camry ride is rougher and noisier but it handles much better.

Joe, I agree with your earlier post that the new Camry looks somewhat better in SE trim. I seem to be seeing more SE's on the street, unless those are the ones that just happen to catch my eye.
