Tire Presssure 18" Tires
i exchnaged my original 18" Bridgestones for Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires. Much better ride than the Bridgestones. What's the lowest tire pressure recommended, as I prefer a soft smoother ride. Please keep in mind within limits of not sacrificing tire wear and mileage. Thanks.

I to have those horrible 18" Bridgestones with only 300 miles on them they sound like rumbling I was so upset when I saw them on my car as I had them on my 2010.
Mine were set from dealer at 32 cold and go up to about 36 hot. Maybe that is why I think they are loud at time, really wish I had MCH primacy.

Same here... 18" wheels with Bridgestone Turanza's.... do not like those tires... that same tire came on my 2007 Avalon, and as soon as they started to show signs of wear, I changed them out with a new set of Michelins..... I will do the same with this car... even so, I don't expect the ride will be quite as good on the 18" rims vs. the 17;s.... and while were on the subject, allow me to get this off my chest... It's always puzzled me that the 18" rims are wrapped in the cheaper Bridgestone tire.... and the 17" rims are equipped with the Michelins..... considering that you pay extra for the upgraded wheel pkg to 18's, wouldnt you think that pkg would come with the better tire? Go figure!

Sorry I dont have direct experience with 18" tires, but I doubt you can go much below 28psi without resetting the TPMS. Lower pressures will undoubtedly reduce fuel mileage and increase tire wear but the question is how much.
My '14 ES 350 came with 17" Touranzas instead of my much preferred Michelins. The Lexus dealer wouldnt swap em so I bought a set of Michelin Primacys myself and sold the nearly new Touranzas on craigs list. Very happy I made the change.

Poppa- No idea and this is my second (10,15) Ultra that came with bridgestone, I have seen the Michelins on the 18inch option so it may be luck of the draw, but dealer didn't have another one with 18inch to do to the swap. Maybe its because they are rated some how higher then Michelins? No clue but once I see any wear I am dumping them I have no trust in them especially in snow or rain. Plus I don't know if its me but I don't like the way they sit on the rims even in 2010 model. I was so upset when I saw them on the car.

Apparently the other tires are harder wearing compared to the Michelin Primacy and Pirelli P7 so that could be why they're chosen by Lexus. Then again, tire choices seem to be done randomly so it could be more like whichever tire has the lowest price for a given region.
I'm on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx on 17" rims on an ES300h, haven't seen anyone else with the same setup. Our temps are 5-10C now and my tires are set at 2.3 bar or 33 psi, good for fuel economy and the ride isn't harsh.

I had the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx on my GS350 and I was at 49,500 and still had I say a good amount of thread on it. I drove mostly Highway but still took curves hard and had only 1 nail so I say they weren't bad. Also had them on 08 IS with no issues but only drove it 25,000 mikes. That is an odd setup on 300H, here in north east I only see bridgetone or Michelins.

Different strokes for different folks. I have a 2013 with 18 inch chrome wheels and Turanza tires. When I found the warranty and reports on the life of this tire I pumped them up to 38 pounds. They are quiet and ride smooth. No complaints. Handling is comfortable and you don't get the feeling you are driving on flat tires. So I just say pump em up boys and enjoy the ride.

38 psi is my track day tire pressure That's a bit high for winter? I had mine up to 36 psi for 17" tires but the tide was lumpy and thumping over rough roads, so I dropped it back down.
