.. have a narrow garage. .and it had to happen... misjudged the right side and side swiped..



i think if i scrub it lightly. can get rid of some of the white paint but then i need to touch it up without goiung to a body shop..

would you recommend this

I would post this in the detailing forum to see what they recommend. It may be best to see if a detailer or body shop can buff it out if you are not experienced with such procedures so that the paint is not damaged in the process. I would at least get an estimate from a body shop as they are experienced at evaluating such damage. It may not may not need painting after buffing-rubbing. Also, most of it is on the bumper, and because they are flexible, paint always looks a bit different on the bumpers than the rest of the car. I think they may even use different paint due to the flexing.

That pen will never match your paint.

Looks like it needs to be compounded and then you will be able to see how deep the scratches are. Once you see if it is to deep then you'll need to get it re-sprayed. Go see a body shop and they should be able to tell you how bad it is.
