Default Camry vs Lexus suspension parts - are they the same cost?

Camry vs Lexus suspension parts - are they the same cost? When looking up the vin number on Lexus.com for ES 350 and 330 with around 100k miles on it,
I have seen worn and leaking CV axles and ball joints mentioned as a needed repair, which would be approximately a $2,000 to repair.

I would assume that a similar V6 Camry with 100,000 miles on it would have the same suspension problems.
Would the cost also be about the same if it was done at Toyota or other non Lexus repair place?

Is this a typical repair that would need to be made at around 100,000 miles?
Or is this early for these parts to fail and they would normally be replaced at 150-200,000 miles on an ES or Camry?

It is not a typical repair for 100,000 miles, but they could fail at that time. That is why these components need to be inspected regularly. When they fail varies greatly from car to car depending on road conditions, climate, driving style etc. This repair can be done at any reputable shop for less money than at a Toyota or Lexus dealer. If you actually need it done, it pays to shop around.

Also you can inspect them yourself easily as such leakage is easy to see if you crawl under the front of the car and look at the bellows type things at each end of the front axles. Those are the CV boots. It is unusual for the inner ones to fail before the outer ones as the outer ones get damaged more by road debris etc. However the inner ones flex more due to their position.

Ball joint failure is usually noticed by noise, poor steering or vibrations and needs a tech to do the inspection. Again leaking grease can be seen.

If you search I think there have been other posts about interchangeability among Camry and ES suspension parts. You could also look up and compare parts numbers online from some of the many discount OEM dealers.

They say they have the same platform but most of the parts are not the same.
You can get all those parts from Amazon dirt cheap.
