P0101 & P0175 - Before resetting ECU
Hello Club Lexus,
I just wanted share what happened to my 2012 ES350 at 99K miles, and hope to help someone out there if they experience a similar problem.
A month ago I was driving to work. Just as I entered the highway, check engine light came on. I turned around came back home. Fired up Techstream (Toyota's diagnostics software)and found out the two codes:P0101 & P0175- and a stall engine code that had happened more than 40 starts ago. I assumed it was dirty MAF sensor and throttle body. I picked up a can of CRC MAF sensor cleaner and throttle body cleaner on my way back from work. Cleaned up both reseted ECU, and all has been good for the past month and about 1000 miles.
Inadvertently, after I reseted the ECU in Techstream, the check engine light went off, but the TPMS sensor light came on. Apparently when I reseted the ECU, I wiped off the TPMS sensor ID's from ECU!!!! Only way to get those ID's back was to visit a tire store and have them read the sensors with their special reader.
Lesson learned! Now I took a screen shot of TPMS sensor ID in Techstream, just in case if I ever need to reset ECU again.
Hopefully Techstream users will read this before they reset their ECU, and avoid my predicament....

How to reset the ECU with Techstream? I never found that option.

Under the Diagnostic code screen there is a button that has a check engine logo and a eraser. You can't miss it if you are looking towards bottom of the screen.
