ES 350 air conditioner issues
I have a 2009 Lexus ES 350. For the past couple of months since having my air filter changed at Jiffy Lube the air conditioner won't come on and there's a message on the screen that says to check the air conditioner connection. I took it to Lexus to check and they only gave me an estimate of charges for $384, but no explanation of the problem. Any one familiar with what might be wrong and the cost to repair?

One advise: stay away from from firestone, jiffy lube and other quick oil change branches. They are OK for oil changes but nothing more than that..In fact,I don't even trust the oil that they put in my car. They claim it to be "synthetic" but I'm almost sure 30-40% of the time they use the cheapest stuff (conventional)but still charge us the premium

I don't see how the lube place could have affected the AC. I've changed the AF many times on our ES with no AC issues - all the AC stuff on the opposite side of the engine. Check the AC and blower fuses.
If you take it back to the dealer, ask for a written estimate.
