What's a good price for the following?

White ES350 (2008)
Leather Seats
Upgraded model (not sure on all specifics, but includes bluetooth and navigation)
8,000 miles
Excellent condition, no accidents, no major issues.

It sold for 56k back in 2009, so how does 17k sound?

Way over priced. Wouldn't pay more than $14K to a private party and would really want to know why only 8K miles on it. Super low miles sometimes worries me as much as high mileage does. Has it been stored? Was it stored properly? Etc, etc, etc.

Interesting. The original asking price was 21k. An older lady bought it and just never used it much. Supposedly it was taken good care of. Under that assumption, why is 17k over priced if they paid 56k for it back in 2009 and it was barely used?

Just my personal opinion, I'd rather pay a little less and buy one with 40,000 miles. I don't feel comfortable with old cars that has very low miles. and I agree with Igb0250, $14k is a good price for that age.

What if the Carfax is clean? Would you feel more comfortable doing the $17k for one with 8,000 miles?

I'm going to assume the Ca is Canada, not California, since no ES has ever sold in the states for that much. That said, some of your responses may not be aware of this. Your $17k CD is just a little over $13k USD. That's the only thing I have to offer here, as I know nothing about the Lexus used car market.

I agree that newer model and higher mileage is the way to go. These cars with 40k to 50k miles is nothing. Just broken in.

$17K seems quite fair depending on condition... (Belt, hoses, tires, servicing, etc).

What can I say ... $56K for this vehicle new sounds way over priced. Really!

I don't think it's over priced. Especially back in 2008 when it was new. Because at least from where I live, you still can pick up the 2016 ES touring package for that same price. So the price didn't really change over the years but the technology did. I drive a 2007 ES, I honestly appreciate my car so much when I drive other cars. My point is, I think you get what you pay for.

There is a book value on everything! If you want to pay way above book, buyer beware. What they paid for it is totally irrelevant at this point in time. It's what it's worth on the open market today and IMO it would be no more than $14K. You might wonder if it was such a good deal, why is it still available?

It was not payed 56K because the kost expensive one was around 42K and Im talking about UL model with radar cruise.

8000 miles? I would pay for it 16000 right now.
