Lexus gives you a lot of warning before you're actually on empty.
i always fill it up all the way and i get anywhere from 400-430 with about 20km range left on the dash.

how come other people are getting 500+average and i'm getting so low? im thinking i take it in for spark plugs and o2 sensors

Are you using premium fuel? I know that can make a difference. On my 02 Maxima I would loose ~100km/tank when using regular vs. premium. So when I recently bought my 08 ES, I've just stuck with premium as it recommends it for this year.

i use to use premium and used it for about 10 fill ups in a row and was getting about 20km more only so i stopped because the the es350 uses the same engine as the toyota camry and camry can take 87

what are you guys getting?
also, what the hell is the difference between ''tank average'' and the other ''average''???
I have the same year and it is scary strange that you have this low of km per tank, i average around 650km and the lowest was around 550km, probably in winter. One time, i even got some 725km per tank but it never happened again for some reason.

1. my numbers are around 20% city 80% highway (120km/hr)
2. i use 93 octane
3.250 000km, maintenance A1,
4. I've tested the mileage by ready the menu AND also by calculating the number of km per gas fill-up, i get around 1 L/100k better while calculating vs the menu on the car. On the menu of the car, i get around 9.1 L/100km, sometime 11.9, but i get more than 400km per tank.
5. i'm in montreal, quebec. And yes you may point something important, if i do 100% city, i get around 13 L/100km.
6. i do have a heavy foot.

Twice, i notice that my brake piston was stuck and grinding my rotor, but heard no noise, that eat up my mileage.

Has do done all the proper maintenance, cleaning the engine air filter ?

so my last reading i got 468KM on a full tank. with 11.7l/100km
this was from 87 regular gas half, and half 93
i can never seem to even get 500km and all of you get 700, not sure what is going on here bud

I think there's a problem. If your consumption is 11,7, that means with 70 liters you can go 600 km.
When you fill the tank, do you stop it after the first click or you continue filling? You can add around 6 liters after the first click.

Yes, i see the problem, in theory you should get 600km. Something nmay be wrong with the display calculation.Lexus081, did you use the odometer to calculate your fill-up and how km can you get ?

I think this may be the reason i'm not getting 600km at least.
i stop filling after the first click because, ignorantly, i thought they fill to max capacity but i guess not.

so 70 litres is the max capacity for the 2008 es? ?

and yes, i reset my display already and yes, i reset the trip meter

Yes, empty to full, around 72, but only if you keep pushing the fuel until you see it next to the cap.
