Help! 07 ES350 Headlight problem
Hey CL, I finally got around to taking a video of a problem that I've been having with my car.
The problem is pretty self explanatory in the vid. :
@ 0:00 When I turn on the headlights, the emergency blinkers come on. I try to turn it off with the emergency button, but that does nothing.
@0:45 I put it in auto lighting mode and the blinkers go off since the headlights aren't on. I cover the day/night sensor to put the car in night mode to turn on the headlights.
@1:03 The headlights turn on and so do the emergency flashers.
@1:18 I uncover the day/night sensor. The headlights turn off and the flashers stop. Meaning the problem only occurs when my headlights are on.
@1:37 I turn on the headlights to show the only workaround I've found. If I lower the dashboard brightness all the way down, the flashers stop even when my headlights are on. This works for all lighting modes. However, my dash is completely dark at night and I can't see my speed. So I haven't been going out at night too often.
@2:02 when I turn the brightness of the dashboard up again, the problem resumes.
2007 ES350, 188k miles. I haven't done anything to the HIDs. The car is bone stock.
In short, it's just whenever my headlights are on, the emergency blinkers are on. My temporary fix for that is dimming the dashboard brightness, but then I get a completely dark dash at night.
I took it to the dealer and they want $189 just to inspect it so I'm trying to see if there are any solutions before fixing it through the dealer.
You guys have any idea what's going on?
Thanks!

I think your light/turn signal switch is bad.
