The licence plate bulbs are LED and should last a very long time before burning out. Is the fuse OK?
If you do need to change it, You will need to buy another Lexus light assembly because there is no bulb, per se, to replace. The LEDs are built into the light assembly.
You will need to remove the felt trunk liner, then remove the 10mm(?) bolts that secure the light assembly.

^ He is correct.
They come as an enclosed "unit" and if the LED is indeed out you'll have to buy it as such. Unless you are willing to cut the enclosure, solder in a new LED and reseal the enclosure a new "unit" is your best bet.
I tried changing the bulbs when I sound deadened my trunk. Was not a good time.

according to the diagram they are wired in series so if one out = both out. might be worth poking around with a meter to see what voltage u get at various points, should be 10-14v

Thanks!
Thank you all for all the info. Interesting that the owner manual doesn't mention anything about the bulb/assembly except to take it in to the dealer to be replaced.
By chance, does anyone know the part number for the replacement assembly?
