Default tpm's warning light on

TPM's warning light on

hi i was wondering is the reaosn the TPM's warning light is on because i don't currently have a spare tire in the turnk i have the tire i mean but no wheel. and the snesor is just sititng in my glove box untill the new wheel comes in.
is this the reason why the warning light is on ?

do all 5 sensors have to be registered or can i just have 4 of them on so that it doens't need to pick up on the 5th that doens't have a wheel ?
thanks

Stock setting has all 5 sensors in the system. Thats why the light is currently on for you.

Not sure. Never heard of anyone going through the trouble of trying to de-register a tpms sensor since there's a spare tire in the trunk.
It might be possible. Not sure if the system requires a static 5 but you'd have to have a tpms programming tool to do it anyways.

I think there's a way to disable the fifth sensor. I have the spare which doesn't have the sensor inside but next to the wheel I have the TPMS scanner which is disabled.

If you're really looking to not spend anything you can make a pressurized cannister out of pvc for a couple bucks.

Dont let the name scare you.

This works also if you're running aftermarket wheels and cannot mount the tpms.
