I bought the vgate ELM 327 bluetooth obd reader and paid for the app to customized the settings on my ES350. It was simple to use and quick. I was able to turned off my DRL, seat belt, and the alarm arming/disarming volume. Definitely worth getting.

If it was something I'd use a lot, id buy it now on my android, but I guess I'll have to wait for a version for my iPad. I'm not going to buy it twice.

Well, guys, our iOS app development is going very well and we already have a working prototype with OBD2 functionality. The Toyota/Lexus stuff is very close too. Then it'll be a matter of polishing the UI, figuring out some user experience issues and testing the crap out of it

I’ve had the original Carista since 2014. Are there any differences in this versus the original that would require me updating? By the way, have loved mine since day one.

carista anyone here using it ?
Does anyone here iwth the 5th gen ES350 use or have the Carista Unit and app if so have you been able to program things such as windows auto open and down via remote ?
i was confused thought i remmeber reading that you cant program the windows to go up via keyfob only down.
but when i was looking on the carista website it was saying this
Open windows and sunroof via long-press on remote
ON / OFF
Close windows and sunroof via smart key
ON / OFF
so if it shows that you can open and close with it then im going to think it can be done but i would like info first hand from anyone who has this have you tried to program this ?

is the verison out yet and fully operational for apple iphone and ipad yet ?

Works with my iPhone 4S, 6S, and iPad 2. Haven’t tried my wife’s X yet.
My windows were programmed to either go up or down with FOB from dealer, can’t remember because I don’t use this feature very often. Press & hold lock or unlock to accomplish.
I paid a onetime $20 for the upgraded version to adjust settings as AutoZone will read codes for free.
