just purchased a 2009 es350 base, and want to replace the headlights from yellow to either whiter halogens or hids. anyone installed aftermarket hid kit in existing halogen projectors? will i have horrible glare like the civics hids?

I don't think you'll get a perfect cutoff but you won't get the annoying glare you do with HIDs in reflectors.

Good whiter light comes from SilverStar or PIAA Extreme bulbs and is quite similar to color (temperature) of OEM HID lights. You could go with HID D4S kit and you should get a decent cut line, or with D2R which has a bulb black out so to create the cut line...
