Default .mp4's

Another rather obscure type of post, I know.

I have a 2007 ES350. Will it play CD's with mp4's?
I know it plays mp3's.

MP4 = MPEG-4 video file. You can extract audio from it to MP3 format and play that but I doubt that the unit will read the MP4s... You can always burn a CD and try

I've tried both MP3 and WMA and settled on WMA, constant bit rate at 320 kbps. I used Easy CD Digital Audio Extractor to rip my CD collection into WMA lossless for playback in the house through my main stereo. That entire library was then batch converted by EZCDDAE to WMA 320.
