It might be quicker and more accurate to call a couple of body shops in your area to see if they do that type of work and get an estimate.

Why would you pay someone to change your lights???

1. Remove old bulb
2. Install hid bulb
3. Plug hid bulb into ballast
4. Plug ballast into existing wiring
5. Mount ballast in place of your choice

Easy as pie, no need to get someone to do it for you for unless you are looking for ways to throw away money.

It's not that simple. I did it on a 09 and it was difficult. The halogen bulbs use a adapter that holds the bulb then the harness plugs into that adapter. I had to modify the adapter to hold the bulb correctly. Then you gotta find a suitable location for the ballasts. I initially thought it's gonna be a piece of cake and it turned out to be a whole day event.

I've done my headlights, High beams and fogs. All were a piece of cake. Just grab a set of adapters off ebay for $10. If you cut a hole in your rubber seal you can use the rubber grommets that come with every kit, I just used a lil silicone to make sure they were air tight. As for the ballasts there is plenty of room to mount them I got 6 under my hood lol. When I have more time I will post a DIY with pictures to try and save my fellow Lexus lovers some time and $.

Initially, i thought i would be able to install the hid lights myself, but after watching a video of someone doing it and seeing how they had to modify the light housing to make it water-proof, kinda made me a little less interested in attempting it. if this was an easy install for you, by all means, please, post a vid/pics to share....Thanks!

I will as soon as I have time and we have some nice weather. It's not as hard as it may seem.

How did you deal with the DRL on the high beams?

I don't have DRL's during the day because I don't have resistors for the voltage drop and this puts the ballasts into protection mode. It doesn't bother me not having front lights during the day lol
