Default Transmission Firmware???

Hi,

I have sent my 2008 ES350, 47K to a dealer since it has a bit hesitation on accelerating; RPM goes upto 3K easily to get engaged to next one.

The dealer told me that no hardware problem but they did update a tranny firmware. They added that it may work right away or work after 3~4 fuelings.

Has anybody experienced it worked? if not, what would be next step?

Does this happen when the engine/trans is cold, like at the first start up and shifting of the day?

it happens not only at first start all the time but also at accelerating in order to pass a front car. If I accelerate slowly, no hesitation shows up. Let me see if the firmware update works as the dealer says.

Yes, and a firmware flash resolved the problem. Also a 2008.
