To add specifics; my config on the LC2I makes the bass boost (Accubass I believe they call it) kick in at 37-38.

There are 3 pots on the face, and I believe one near the input. The three on the face adjust:

1. Bass output at low sound levels
2. Line output level (in case you're chaining amps, it has a line out too!)
3. Accubass level - boosts bass by this much when it hits the level below.

The pot near the input adjusts when the Accubass kicks in. The initial setting is "least sensitive" - and I found that to be right where the Lexus cuts out.

Of course, all of this will need tweaked to your liking, but my Accubass level is actually quite low - maybe 1/8 turn off of 0 on the dial? Just gives it enough of a kick at 38-40 - especially when I have windows and sunroof open, makes it sound like a much bigger system.

ive been looking around an answer to this, i have a 2nd gen IS non-ML, thing is, im about to change all but the HU, i will be running 3 amps in total. Do the lc8i do the work for me or i need something more expensive (I prefer not) like audiocontrol DQL-8, rockford 3sixty.2, etc etc. and if it is audiocontrol, is the acubass really necessary?

plz help!!!

Note: I will be powering 2 sundown sa 12 with a rockford 1500-1 bdcp, 4 rockford pps8-6 with a punch 1000-4, and another amp for the tweeters, thats why the signal processor has to be 6 or 8 channel.

I recommend the AudioControl devices highly, especially if you're building your system to play LOUDLY. Of course, I'm biased - it's the first and only line converter I've used, but it works well with the stock "premium" Lexus HU/amp combo.

Thanks for your reply, after a little bit of mooore searching i think i´ll go with the audiocontrol lcq1, it has everything an lc7i has plus equalization!
