Default Is there something wrong with the side airbags?

Good evening Club Lexus forum posters. I am contemplating a 2009-2012 ES350 for the lovely wife and I keep running into cars with some kind of dimple on the side door. Not all have this and I'm wondering if this is the sign of an airbag deployment? The attached picture is from a 2010 model. Please inform.

Thanks guys

Yea I have no idea what to think of it. But it keeps eliminating some of the best cars I find. Ugh
Its difficult to find black or dark gray on black with the ML system...

Thanks for the replies guys

If everything you like has this issue, you could ask the dealer to replace that piece of trim. It might be something they'd do to make the sale. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Or bite the bullet and go for you 2nd color choice for a car without the mark.

maybe it deployed and the repair shop / insurance company only replaced the airbag module inside the door and deemed replacement of the door panel as unnecessary.

There is no airbag module inside the door, the airbags are in the seats.

That's elbow damage. My 2010 had a minor dimple there.

True, no airbags there. Our '08 has no such dimple/mark. Agree that you should ask the dealer to replace the door panel as part of the deal.
