Default 2010 ES350 accessory switch position

When I pull into my favorite drive in and shut the egine off I can't open the window to give the waitress my order and of course I lose my music. If I turn the switch to accessory position the steering wheel tilt and telescope moves it back to driving position which is no good for eating hot dogs and ice cream!! any suggestions?

I usually just get out of the car and eat inside or on a provided picnic bench. Steering wheels do get in the way.

are you opening the door before lowering the window? My windows stay active even with the car off until I open the driver's door.

As for hotdogs and ice cream...move your seat back a bit?

This is not exactly the worst problem in the world to have.

My bad, it is when she brings the food that the window doesn't go down. So when I go to accy. position the steering wheel crowds my space. I know it is not a bad problem to have, but a "premium" priced auto should not be outdone by my GMC Yukon.

As far as the picnic table, in WI suitable weather is about 10% of the year

As for the music, the manual says "Notice" do not leave the audio system on longer than necessary with the engine off. What's necessary and how do I "leave" it on??

I think the retained power feature is just for x amount of minutes. So maybe it cancels out between order and delivery of the aforementioned hot dogs and ice cream. Tell 'em it's a rush order and maybe they can get it to you before the retained power cancels out.

Program your seat button # 2 so the steering wheel is out of the way, the windows work, and you have music, press that b4 u get your food and leave the car on or on acc. Then when your done eating press # 1 to move it back to driving position, everything is fully adjustable. So far this is the funniest post I've seen! Thanks for the laugh

I do not have power to the radio and windows after shutting off the engine... Does anyone else?

Wish it would stay on until I open my door, like most other vehicles? Wierd function not to have. Is there somewhere I can switch this?

My problem is for when I am just waiting around somewhere, not eating lol.

The radio goes off when you turn the engine off unless you have it in neutral when you turn the engine off - then the radio stays on. Put it in park and you're good to go.. er.. stay.

I can't help you with the steering wheel though. Like SICK350 said, program the second memory profile or just use the wheel adjuster to push it back to a dog-eating position.
