Hello,
I am new to the forum, so I am not sure if my problem has ever been addressed. The lid to the center console "pops up" constantly. The release button is so sensitive that it doesn't even have to been pushed down for the lid to pop open. The slightest touch to the button will make the lid open. It is such a nuisance! It will close and stay shut so I know it isn't broken. If I rest my arm on the lid it will sometimes pop open. Has anyone else had this problem? Lexus made a poor design flaw on this by putting the button in such a touchy place.
Would love to hear from someone who has dealt with this issue and may have resolved the problem. Thank you.

I had a problem with it when I initially got the car, sometimes hitting it and popping the console. In the last few months, I'd have to say it's minimized - either I'm subconsciously avoiding it or I've changed my position in the seat to not hit it. That being said, agreed - it's kind of in a bad spot.

I think I'll try putting some velcro tape on it. LOL... Thank you for your reply.

It's probably defective. I have a 2009 ES350 that does not exhibit this behavior. Have the dealer check it out.
