Default What is a realistic gas range for a 2007 ES350?

I am looking for a realistic range for a 2007 ES350, some research online says about 330 miles but I don't see this possible with an 18 gallon tank and 25ish mpg just seems like it would be more. I have not purchased this vehicle but really want it and I know the gas won't be like my Hyundai but I know I'm getting a better car. Just want to know because I drive a long way to work each day.

Thanks in advance

My average mpg on interstates, going from Wilkes Barre, PA to Cleveland, OH with 4 adults, a/c on and a full trunk, utilizing 92 octane gas was always 29-30 mpg. That was a for 2007 Ultra ES350. I averaged 70-75 mph.

. What about the range? Like how many miles it can go on a tank

If you're averaging 29-30 on the highway, multiply that by 18.5. On the highway you should have a 500-550 mile range. In mixed driving with my previous 2010 ES I got around 23. 23 18.5 = 425 miles.

I usually get an easy 400 miles with enough to spare to get to a gas station. 2010 and run on regular.

I think if your extended concern is mileage range, then the Lexus CT Hybrid model or Prius is a better choice for your commute.

Good ideas. If more space is needed maybe a pre-owned Camry Hybrid.

I think the 22-25 overal mpg's, multiplied by gas tank size, mentioned in the other posts are good guidelines.

BIG factors for the OP to consider are driving style as well as terrain. Those things have a big impact on overall mileage/range.

In my 7 mile non-highway commute, I can stretch out to 350 miles before I get uncomfortable (less than 1/4 tank). I see about 18-20mpg in this type of driving, primarily due to the stop and go nature of my commute. Freeway? Same as others here - I can hit 33mpg if I'm not speeding on the freeway and paying particular attention to not using the brakes at all. I still usually don't get to 450 miles or more out of a tank, because I'm not one to want to drain the whole thing.

I usually upon fill-up put in 16 gallons or less.

With a 60/40 split between interstate and city driving, we got 395 miles when I filled up yesterday. It was a total of 14.8 gallons. Back in August we traveled to the DC area and easily hit 30mpg even in the hills of east TN and west VA. I pushed it to 430 miles between fill ups.

We run from Phoenix to Orange County, CA - - about 360 miles running 80mph or so and still have 2-3 gallons left when we get off the 241 in Rancho - - running the higher octane gets slightly better fuel mileage - - typically 28-29 on the highway . .

I typically don't fill until just below the quarter mark. Computer on the dash says anywhere from 23-26 as my commute is 70% hwy 30% city, When I fill I usually end up putting in ~15 gallons, so conservatively 350-400 leaving 3+ gal left, or an overall range of 425-475 til dry.

Well it is more! What is 'a long way'? Highway or city?

I regularly put 460 miles on mine before the low fuel light even comes on. Talking highway of course.
