I've started a handful of threads here. One of this is documenting the installation of my aftermarket audio system that includes a 12" sub.

It took a little time to fine my thread so here's the link - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...-a-2007-a.html
And another link - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...t-install.html

As far as I know, we are the only 2 that went with a generic aftermarket head unit. One guy went with a Fly Audio nav unit designed to work with the non-nav radio.

Here are a few shots of my set up, Kinda hard to get great pics as I went for concealment. I had a custom box built and mounted in the car. Also had a "false wall" built, and the subs firing forward, for a couple reasons. First and foremost I wanted a somewhat factory look, and didn't want to flash the fact that I have sounds. Also didn't want to ever damage the equipment when loading things in and out of the trunk. On to the pics.......
Full trunk shot......

Through the pass through from drivers side........

Pass through the drivers side............

As you can tell the amp is mounted to the back of the seat, and the box is mounted to the car. This way if I need to step on the gas, I don't have to worry about things flying around. I had a bass control **** mounted in the glove box (which I forgot to shoot). I think that it is WAY TOO much sound, as I have it dialed way back.....But hell I grew up in the hood, and every once in a while its nice to pound to an old school jam, and I like to have it there if I ever want it

What's the affect on the spare tire removal? I'm hoping to do something similar, but still need access to that spare in case of emergency. Right now I have a basslink that I can toss around, but will be upgrading to at least 1 12" if not 2 in the future.

My single 12 is easy to move around and even remove. In fact, on trips I usually switch it for my original 10" sub.

Is that a ported box? If so, you are definitely not giving the port room enough to breath and that changes your tuning frequency.
